AI-powered data cleaning, right when you need it

nuvo AI Prompts empowers users to apply custom data cleanings by submitting plain-text instructions during the Review Entries step of the import process. Our powerful nuvo AI can interpret your instructions and generate a JavaScript transformation tailored to your selected column. 

All data cleaning runs directly in your browser. nuvo AI uses only your prompt and defined schema in the Target Data Model (TDM) to generate cleaning logic. It never processes the imported data itself, ensuring full compliance with strict data privacy and security standards.

Here’s how nuvo AI Prompts works:

1. The user clicks the '+fx' icon in the column requiring a transformation to open the prompt input window.
2. The user then enters a prompt describing the desired transformation in natural language. You can guide users by offering up to five example prompts per column, showcasing the most common use cases and helping them write clear, effective instructions.
3. The user can choose to apply the logic to the entire column or only to cells containing errors. They may also include conditions in the prompt to apply a rule based on values in other fields or to reference other columns.
4. nuvo AI generates a formula in the background and displays the results in a preview window.
5. The user reviews and confirms the changes to apply.

Each transformation runs once and applies only to the current dataset state. If you make changes later, such as manual edits or adding new rows, the AI-generated formula will not run again.
